What a treat!! Check this hot cajun collaboration!!

For the 25th anniversary of Paul Simon’s Graceland, different indie artists are coming together to put out cover songs from Simon’s most famous record. Here is a sneak peek featuring Louisiana’s GIVERS, who play a rendition of “That Was Your Mother” alongside Louis and André Michot (Lost Bayou Ramblers) and Cajun music legend Dickie Landry.

In came the flood.

So many times, I’ve come across posters advertising shows of the Halifax band, Wintersleep. But never was I able to see them. I was either always seeing the poster a few days after the show date, or leaving the city to head to another. Maybe I’ll catch them on their upcoming tour. Here’s their latest video.

White Cowbell Oklahoma… Part 56: going down memory lane.

This was a spontaneous show that took me by surprise. I had NO clue what to expect, but I was game to discover something new, and spend good times with old friends at the Seahorse Tavern. White Cowbell Oklahoma was the unforgettable entertainment for that evening.

For those of you who have seen these guys live, you probably know what insanity I’m talking about…
